Mens Team Coach

Description

Maidstone Warriors Basketball Club are recruiting a Head Coach or Player Coach to lead

their Men’s 1st team. Training sessions take place on Mondays and Wednesdays, 7:30 –

9:30pm (1st & 2nd team) with Men’s 2 Coach Coaching Mondays (in Snodland) and Men’s 1

Coach on Wednesdays (in Loose). Both Teams play in the Medway Basketball Association

(MBA) with fixtures being the same training timings.

Responsibilities

• Lead on the planning, delivery and evaluation of weekly training sessions

• Select the match day squad, communicating with players and team captain

• Attend fixtures and manage the match day squad

• Lead on performance team meetings where relevant, working with other support service

staff to set goals, expectations and analyse results

• Attend club committee meetings where relevant

• Promote the club’s philosophy to all members

• Adhere to Maidstone Warriors Code of Conduct and relevant policies

Requirements

• Essential: England Basketball Level 2 coaching qualification (or be willing to achieve this

by season 2026/27)

• Essential: Previous playing and coaching experience, knowledge of health and safety

along with relevant compliance regulations

• Desirable: Good knowledge of Basketball, strong leadership, interpersonal and

communication skills.

• Complete DBS and BE Safeguarding Course.
