“WHAT A YEAR!

Key highlights:
Club has grown from strength to strength. Double digit growth
188 members with predictions for over 250 next season
Landmark agreement with MGGS school for girls development programme.
Our Men team winning the Division 2 league unbeaten. Great achievement

As a club we are served with an incredible army of volunteers and my thanks especially to Chris, Lorna and Astley on the executive team for looking after the club in a exemplar manner during long periods while I have been away on business.

Our coaches are in my view the best in Kent. They carrying the club’s ethos of

hard work, never give up, focus on team, integrity and trust. It is those values that we want our kids to have, to not only to have the skills of basketball, but have the personality and character to be great young men and women in our communities.

I want to give thanks to our sponsors who allow us to provide free training to our coaches (to nationally recognised qualifications), kits, payment of junior coaches and support to all our events and activities.

Lastly our thanks you to the parents for supporting the club and your child. My kids loved it when we attended their sessions. Although time is precious these days, it will be those times when you were there that they will remember.

Have a great summer and looking forward to an exciting 22/23 season. It will be our 25th Anniversary as a club, so lots to celebrate.

Go Warriors!!”

However the kids listened and took the coaching on board and worked hard to get us to a place we can be proud of at the end of the season. “This year has been a really surprising and fun season. With a mixed ability group I can often be hard to get everyone pulling in the same direction however this group were the exception to the rule. Every player was fantastic and eager to learn. We had some fantastic individual achievements this year and even won a cup along the way. As coaches we are so proud of this group and are excited what’s next.” – Coach Ryan Penny

MVP: Emin
MIP: Quinn
Coaches Player: Matas

“With the worst of the global pandemic now behind us, I’m extremely pleased
it’s disruption did not deflate our Club’s determination and desire to safely deliver
a full 2021-22 Programme of activity for all our age groups.

Furthermore, not even the damage caused by Storm Eunice to one of our venues
in February was sufficient to diminish our collective spirit.

Looking forward, we remain a strong, extremely well organised and trusted
Community Basketball Club with an amazing group of Coaches, Team Managers
and volunteers. Finally, based on current demand, the approaching 2022-23 season
promises to be another slam dunk year. Let’s go WARRIORS!” – Coach Astley Gayle
